My approach
Whether you want to explore personal issues as an individual or deal with relationship problems as a couple, my approach is to identify what is troubling, the role it plays in your life, what you have tried to do, why those things didn’t always work as desired, what it is you would like, your goals, and how we can find some solutions that best address your concerns. My stance tends to be solution focused, pragmatic, applicable and doable. If you would like to go deeper, examine some of the underpinning sources and how they play out in your behaviors and interactions, and how you feel about yourself, we can talk about how best to accommodate that need.
Knowing that cost is always a factor, we can adjust the frequency and duration of sessions so the expenditure is bearable. Not all insurance plans fully cover all psychological services so you might want to check with them to see what they will reimburse. The time and investment you put in yourself and your relationships is something you get to decide.
“If you don't like something, change it.”
